The story
Built in partnership with Hubtel, this engine serves as the backbone for motor insurance processing. It integrates with national databases for instant vehicle verification and provides a high-performance API for third-party aggregators.
What was breaking
Integration with the national vehicle database was slow and unreliable, causing high drop-off rates during the checkout process.
What I built
implemented a high-availability caching layer using Redis to buffer frequent lookups and a background synchronization worker to keep local data eventually consistent with the national registry.
